For the first time in several years, it is again possible to have clear views across Stamford Green Pond from both the bridge over the outlet stream and nearby benches. The removal of some trees and scrub followed many requests from the ECA and local residents. Funding was provided by an EEBC Community Infrastructure Levy grant organised by Cllr. Steve Bridger. The work was carried out by contractor under the direction of the EEBC’s Tree Officer and Countryside Manager. The improved views are very welcome, while much of the habitat has been retained. Thanks to all involved.
